Citere Hotel — Odoo Implementation for Hotel Operational Integration, POS, Inventory, and Financial Reporting
Company Overview
Citere Resort Hotel is an accommodation in Pangalengan, Bandung that offers a cool mountain atmosphere, a choice of bungalow and standard rooms, as well as complete facilities such as a swimming pool, restaurant, breakfast, and free Wi-Fi. With service activities that include reservations, room management, guest services, and restaurant transactions, Hotel Citere requires an integrated system for smoother operations and easier monitoring.
Condition (Before)
Before using Odoo, hotel and POS management were still done separately. This condition created data gaps between front office operational processes and cashier/restaurant transactions, making it difficult to maintain data consistency. From a financial perspective, there was no reporting system integrated with operational activities, so the process of consolidating reports required additional manual work and operational performance visibility was limited. Additionally, the hotel faced difficulties in managing inventory and transactions, impacting inventory control and transaction traceability.
Challenges
Hotel Citere needs to address 3 main requirements:
- Hotel and POS management are still done separately.
- There is no financial reporting system integrated with operations.
- Difficulties in managing inventory and transactions.
Solution Implemented (After)
To unify hospitality processes and strengthen control, Odoo is implemented through integrated modules:
Hotel Management Module for Reservations, Rooms, and Services. The Hotel Management Module integrates reservations, room management, and services into a single workflow to make operational coordination easier and increase visibility.
POS for Hotel/Restaurant Cashier Operations. POS is used to support hotel/restaurant cashier transactions, making transaction recording faster, neater, and connected to the operational system.
Inventory & Accounting Module for Stock and Financial Reporting. Inventory and Accounting are used for stock control as well as more integrated financial reporting, helping to monitor the use of goods and produce more consistent financial reports.
Results
With the implementation of Odoo, Hotel Citere transitioned from a separate system to an integrated workflow. The processes of reservations, room management, and guest services became more coordinated through Hotel Management, cashier transactions became more orderly through POS, and stock control and financial reporting improved through the integration of Inventory and Accounting. As a result, operations became more consistent, transactions easier to trace, and the system foundation for daily control and reporting became more reliable.
